Three EiWR Doctoral candidates defended their PhD dissertation successfully.

Three Doctoral candidates, Dr. Abdulwahab Abdi, Dr. Adanech Yared and Dr. Taye Alemayehu defended their PhD dissertation successfully in a parallel session today, on Monday 31 July 2017.

Dr. Adanech Yared and Dr. Taye Alemayehu are from water resources engineering and management PhD program specializing in surface water management and ground water management areas of study respectively. The other candidate from water and health PhD program defended in this parallel session was Dr. Abdulwahab specializing in water and public health area of study. The titles of the researches are:

  • The Impact of Water Infrastructure Development and Climate Changes on Eco-hydrology of Omo-Ghibe River Basin, Ethiopia by Adanech Yared Jillo
  • Determination of Groundwater -Surface Water Interactions and Trans -Boundary Flows Using Remote Sensing, Hydrogeological, Hydrogeochemical and Isotopic Techniques:The Case of Baro-Akobo Basin, Ethiopia by Taye Alemayehu Huluka and
  • Childhood Diarrhea: Magnitude, Determinants, Handwashing with Soap and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Educational Interventions in Jigjiga Woreda, Ethiopia-Somali region, Eastern Ethiopia by Abdiwahab Hashi.
