MSc Candidates of EiWR Defended their thesis

front

The Ethiopian Institute of Water Resources (EiWR) organized thesis defense examination session for Water Resources Engineering and Management MSc students on the first weeks of November 2016. Nine of the thirteen students from 2014/15 entry have successfully defended their thesis. The remaining four students have requested extension of the study time for which the institute has granted the permission to extend for a semester. The defended thesis works focused mainly on surface water hydrology, taking prominent water resources research gaps in some of the basins and watersheds in Ethiopia.

Examining scholars were invited from local Universities and practicing professionals from industries with the appropriate qualifications. Together with the internal examiners at EiWR, the student’s thesis works were evaluated and their research works enhanced through corrections, comments and suggestions.
