EIWR Organized Project Management Training for Staff Members

EIWR organized three-day training in project management for its staff and partners working with EIWR in Akaki Campus from April 2– 4, 2015 at Tokuma Hotel, Adama. A total of 12 individuals attended the workshops and received training on Operations Vs. Project Management, Drivers of Change, From a Linear Model to a Complex 3-Dimensional Maze – Environment, The Project, Programme, Portfolio and Project Management, Features of a Project, Factors Influencing Project Success, Challenge or Failure, Stakeholders’ Roles & Responsibilities in Project management, Project Communications Management and risk management to name a few. 

Dr Dereje Hailu, EIWR Director explained that project management training is vital to ensure that the staff has the right skills and knowledge when it comes to managing a project.  He added the training is important in that EIWR is now at project close out stage.

The training was given by Dr. Yitbarek Takele from Department of Management, Addis Ababa University.
